Cornerstone Alpha Investments ("Cornerstone Alpha", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you use our platform at cornerstonealpha.ai and app.cornerstonealpha.ai.

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services:

• Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account.
• Account information — name and email provided during registration via Auth0.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration, and error logs, collected automatically to improve the platform.
• Paper trading data — trade ideas, positions, and journal entries you create within the platform. This data is associated with your account.

We do not collect financial account credentials, brokerage login details, or real money transaction information. Cornerstone Alpha is a paper trading and analysis platform — no real trades are executed on your behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Cornerstone Alpha platform.
• To send you your waitlist invite and platform-related communications (no marketing without consent).
• To authenticate your account securely via Auth0.
• To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve AI model quality.
• To respond to support requests or inquiries.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Microsoft Azure — cloud infrastructure and AI processing (Azure OpenAI). Microsoft Privacy Statement

• Neon (PostgreSQL) — database hosting for account and trading data.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential processing at any time.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), Auth0-managed authentication, and access controls on all cloud infrastructure. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

Cornerstone Alpha is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
